The biggest business incentives package in recent Iowa history may be going up, as state economic development officials are considering raising tax credits for a proposed fertilizer plant in the southeast Iowa from $35-to-$100-million over 4-years to land the $1.3-billion Orascom Construction project. The Des Moines Register reports some opponents, and there are several, say the price is too high for 165 permanent jobs.
