School Safe Rooms

The head of the State Department of Homeland Security and Emergency Management says schools here need more safe rooms to protect students from twisters and severe weather.  Last year, the Des Moines Register found only 37 of the state's 1,400 public school buildings had safe rooms.  40-new ones have been approved in 33 districts.
