Traffic fatality numbers improving

Overall fewer people are dying on Iowa's roads in traffic accidents. Figures have been trending down for the past few years. The Iowa Department of Transportation reported 386 traffic fatalities for 2010, which is up slightly from a year ago, but overall public safety officials credit better safety technology and faster rescue response times with saving lives, according to KCCI.
