Council Bluffs Woman Bequeaths 2.5 Million to Library

Quite a windfall for the Council Bluffs Public Library. Former teacher Ann Cook taught school across the Missouri River in Omaha and retired in 1997. She had inherited money and was well off and spent her retirement years volunteering at the library in Council Bluffs. When she died it was discovered she had left her estate of 2 and a half million dollars to the library foundation, which will use the money to upgrade technology and improve book collections.
