House Rejects Bill to Kill Gun Permit Background Checks

The State House has refused to consider a bill to eliminate background checks for gun permits. GOP Rep. Tom Shaw, tried to attach it as an amendment to a less controversial measure dealing with the ability of those who have lost gun rights to regain them. KCCI reports top House leaders ruled the effort out of order, and there weren't enough votes to force debate.
