New York City landscape architect Ken Smith is the man coming up with a new design for Nollen Plaza in downtown Des Moines. The challenge is to keep the historic character while giving it a much needed upgrade. The conception plan has been released to rave reviews so far, but it will likely be awhile before renovation begins because of funding issues.
