Uptick in Jobless Rate

State Workforce Development says the jobless rate was up slightly from April to May, 4.3 to 4.4%. It was 4.8% in May 2013. Iowa's doing better than the national unemployment rate of 6.3%. May's job leaders in Iowa were leisure, hospitality, construction and transportation.
