The Polk County Sheriff’s Office will be using a four-wheel utility vehicle off-road on bike trails and in the parks through October. According to the Des Moines Register, reserve deputies will use the Kawasaki Mule to reach areas patrol cars and other vehicles can't reach. The 4-wheeler can also transport someone who's injured to an ambulance.
