There may not be any relief in sight for the hot dry weather that's decided to park over Iowa. State Climatologist Harry Hillaker tells the Des Moines Register not only is the state short about half the normal 5" of train for June, the National Weather Service's issued a map showing likely drought conditions to extend through the end of September, which would mean Iowa’s corn and soybean crops would have to grow in tough conditions.
