There's a new plan to get something going in the former Younkers store in downtown. Wisconsin's Alexander Company has $35-million lined up for a plan to turn the building into a combination of retail, office and 120-apartments, with the majority for median and low income residents. The city is scheduled to give the developer an economic development grant of nearly $3 million to help with the renovations, and a construction start in August.
