Iowa's Economic Development Authority today approved financial assistance to 13-business and one community, that Gov. Branstad says will bring $77-million in new capital investment, as well as create over 200 and retain 142 jobs. Among the incentives: Van Meter got $6-million in tax benefits for a 70,000 square foot office and regional distribution center in Urbandale. Car accessory maker Putco, got tax benefits for a $6 million expansion in Polk County.
