You will recall last year when young Lyric Cook and her cousin Elizabeth Collins vanished while riding bikes in Evansdale and their bodies were found in a wooded area near Waterloo last December. Now Lyric Cooks mother Misty, who is 36, has been arrested on felony drug charges for possessing marijuana with intent to sell and possession of meth. She could face 50 years. Two months ago Lyric Cooks father Todd Morrisey was sentenced to up to 90 years on drug charges.
Meanwhile, the Iowa Department of Investigations says the murders of the two missing cousins Lyric and Elizabeth is not a cold case and investigators are still at work solving it.
