Water Main Breaks

Des Moines Water Works crews are working around the clock to make repairs after a record number of water main breaks this week.  Some 30 breaks have been reported over the past seven days.  Water Works says it's implementing a new automated system to notify customers about interruptions in their water service. The CodeRED notification system send out alerts to residents about outages, boil orders and other public health notifications.
