The Iowa Department of Natural Resources will release trout all around the state this winter for winter fishermen. These trout couldn't survive in these selected lakes in summertime and are strictly for catching by seasonal anglers. Some of the 11 thousand trout will be released in Fort Dodge's Moorland Park and Big Lake West in Council Bluffs, in Blue Pit in Mason City and Bacon Creek in Sioux City. Also Lake Petoka in Bondurant and Ada Hayden Pond in Ames. Fisherman must have paid their trout fee.
