Torch Run

The Iowa Department of Public Safety will hold a torch lighting ceremony as part of the Special Olympics Summer Games in Ames. The ceremony will begin Thursday with a lighting of the torch at the Oran Pape State Office Building in Des Moines. Officers from several law enforcement agencies will run with the torch in 4 mile increments.
