An airborne bumper may have killed a volunteer at Iowa State Fair
Speedway.
The Des Moines Register reports 45-year-old Richard
Welch acted as a spotter Friday night when a car lost control.
The
car hit the barrier, sending the bumper over cement blocks in the
backstretch.
The investigation into the incident continues.
