Hotel Crackdown

City leaders are working to crack down on crime at about a dozen blighted motels. They want to increase police presence at the dives, one of which was the scene of Des Moines' latest killing. Police say crime scenes like the one at the Royal Motel earlier in June highlight the need for better motel inspections.
