Indianola PD Rifles

Some Indianola Police officers are carrying rifles.  The Des Moines Register reports four officers bought their own rifles, gotten training, and now carry them on patrol. Chief Dave Button say they've also applied for a grant to get excess weapons from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which would arm more officers.
