Construction Boom in Downtown Des Moines

There's a building boom underway in downtown Des Moines. KCCI reports there are 12 projects underway, including redevelopment of Principal Financial's campus. Nearly 1,000 new condos and apartments, many in the Des Moines Building and the old Younkers building on Walnut, plus a Hampton Inn and an extended stay hotel on Water Street
