Jobless Rate Continues Slide

For the first time in two years, Iowa's jobless rate is below six percent. November figures releasted yesterday show 5.7 percent unemployment, down .3 percent from October. Manufacturing, financial jobs, and trade and transportation all saw new jobs created last month. The Hawkeye state has the sixth lowest unemployment in the country. Today's job outlook for Des Moines, specifically, is looking even better, according to a quarterly survey Manpower takes of 18,000 employers nationwide. The metro is ranked #2 nationwide for employment outlook.
