Monday, the same day the construction project starts that will close the Mile Long Bridge, another project will cause slowdowns on the Highway 65 bypass. The Iowa DOT said the construction zone will be at the Des Moines River just south of Pleasant Hill where two bridges will be replaced. KCCI reports southbound traffic will be moved to a northbound lane during the construction.
The project is expected to be completed by November.
