Youth Pastor Sentence

A former Des Moines youth pastor has been sentenced to 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to sex abuse charges.  A judge told 27-year-old Ryan Matthew McKelvey she believed he was a “predator” who used his status in the church to abuse two teenage females. McKelvey was a youth pastor at the Heritage Assembly Church, until he lost his job last summer.
