Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Reynolds say they'll start paying 20% of their health insurance premiums starting August 1st. KCCI reports the two are trying to set an example for state employees who now have the option of doing the same thing. Officials say if all eligible state workers pay the 20% it could save Iowa $100-million/year. An AFSCME spokesperson calls the move "playing political games."
