Gov. Branstad and Lt. Gov. Reynolds will be joined by state leaders, folks from USDA as well as agriculture and environment experts next week in Mount Pleasant to talk about this summer's drought and what can be done to help farmers. It's 9a.m. Tuesday at Mt. Pleasant High School. USDA's sped up the process farmers use to apply for disaster help as crops burn up in the widest drought in nearly 25 years.
