The state fire marshal says the state hasn't been this dry since the 80's and it's so dry, it's a "tinder box." Ray Reynolds says you should be extremely careful with fireworks, lit cigarettes and all outdoor burning. Close to a third of the state's under a burn ban, and Reynolds says the only fires allowed are controlled burns, and they require a not only a permit from a fire chief, but require supervision.
