Police say three children drowned in the Iowa River in Marshalltown last night. Rescue workers said two girls and a boy were swimming with family members near Riverview Park when they went under water and did not come up about 6:15 p.m. A two-hour search ended with the discovery of their bodies. They are a 9-year-old girl, a 7-year-old girl and a 7-year-old boy. Their names are being withheld until family is notified.
