The National Weather Service marked the official temperature at 105 degrees at 3 p.m., the same as Monday’s high. Des Moines Water Works reported another water use record for Tuesday, at over 96.6-million gallons of water. Record water use and the drought have led officials to issue a voluntary conservation effort for the entire metro area.
