Iowa's Supreme Court Chief Justice Mark Cady's appointed an Mark Weinhardt as independent special counsel to determine if Iowa senator Kent Sorenson broke ethics rules. WHO-TV reports Sorenson's accused of taking money for working on Michele Bachmann’s presidential campaign. Ethics rules bar state senators from taking payments so it doesn’t appear the candidate can gain their support through a job.
