Polk County supervisors are expected to vote in the next few weeks to put a courthouse building project on the ballot for voter approval in November. The Des Moines Register reports the only question if supervisors will ask for $8.1 million in one shot or ask for it three smaller pieces. Plans for the project, in four stages over 8-years, were unveiled this morning. The first phase is moving Polk County prosecutors into the former Wellmark office building.
