A car chase ends with a man being rescued from the Des Moines River. The Des Moines Register reports police tried to pull over 34 year old Albert Lopez for traffic violations - but he drove off - then turned into a parking lot at Prospect Park and straight down an embankment into the river. Word from police - Lopez wouldn't swim to shore or grab a rescue rope - and when he started to struggle in the water police water rescue pulled him out.
