Hy-Vee is purchasing a specialty pharmacy based in Omaha. The employee-owned grocery chain based in West Des Moines says it's agreed to acquire Amber Pharmacy, help it expand its pharmacy services for complex cases and for patients dealing with chronic illnesses. Amber will continue to operate independently of Hy-Vee. Hy-Vee operates 235 stores in eight states.
