Governor Branstad's legislative priorities have survived a
procedural deadline in the General Assembly. Bills dealing with
veterans support, bullying prevention and expanding broadband
Internet will move forward in the legislature. All three issues are
part of Branstad's modest legislative agenda for the year. The actual
deadline is tomorrow, but lawmakers have already completed their work
for the week and most will not return to the Capitol until next week
