Norovirus in Ames Library

Tests have confirmed that norovirus is to blame for the illnesses of more than 30 employees at the Ames Public Library. Officials said Thursday that results from a state hygienic lab confirmed officials' suspicion that norovirus was responsible. The illnesses caused the library to close its doors Wednesday. It was also closed Thursday. The library has since been thoroughly sanitized. Officials say there's no reason to believe materials at the facility pose a risk to visitors.
