DM Water Works Sets New One Month Record Use in July

Des Moines Water Works says the metro area used a record 2.54-billion gallons of water last month. The old record, 2.23-billion, was set in June of 2008. Last week, KCCI reports Water Works officials put their Stage 1 water conservation plan in effect after single day use hit 90.7-million gallons. Since then, use has fallen to 66-75 million gallons per day.
