Des Moines City engineers know why the pond at Glendale Cemetery's all but disappeared. A broken sewer line, which they say the entire pond drained into. KCCI reports crews have been fixing old pipes in and around the pond this summer. They expect that work to be finished this week, and the pond should start filling up with the next big rain storm.
