A group of Iowans wants tougher laws against sex offenders. Members of Kathlynn’s Hope will be going door to door August 3rd and 4th statewide, collecting petition signatures for “one strike” legislation. It would require mandatory life for anyone convicted of violence sex crimes against a child. A convicted sex offender kidnapped and killed 15-year-old Kathlyn Shephard of Dayton last month.
