19-year-old Lequan Clark of Des Moines was charged with 2nd degree arson after fire officials noticed him hanging around a house fire early this morning in the 2900 block of E. Ovid, and asking firefighters questions that raised their suspicions. He's in the Polk County Jail on $10,000 bond. Damage to the vacant home's estimated at $40,000.
