The Iowa Supreme Court's ruled an Ecuadorian couple can sue an immigration lawyer for emotional distress over bad advice. Klever Miranda and Nancy Campoverde are suing Des Moines attorney Michael Said for malpractice. He told the undocumented couple in 2005 if they went back to Ecuador and filed certain documents, they might become U.S. citizens. When they got home, they found out they couldn't come back for 10-years, and have been separated from family here ever since.
