Fatal Crash

Three people have been killed in a collision between a car and pickup in southern Iowa Wednesday. Troopers said 35-year-old Sherissa Goodman, of Leon, was driving east toward Garden Grove when she lost control of her vehicle and swerved into the path of the westbound pickup. Goodman, her fiance 21-year-old Charles "Tyler" Downard, of Van Wert, and Goodman's daughter, 3-year-old Shayla Matte, were killed in the crash. Downard's family told KCCI that they were told the car hit a patch of ice.
