The Iowa senate has approved a bill giving victims more power to report sexual abuse and other crimes involving state military personnel.... Under the bill, state military forces would have to file an annual report with the governor and the Legislature detailing sexual abuse allegations within the forces. It also says state military forces have to give the governor and lawmakers an annual report detailing sexual abuse allegations in the ranks. The Senate voted 47-0 to approve the legislation, which now goes to the House.
