A 2-year suspended sentence and 2-years probation. That's the sentence a judge handed Sheena Cornwell today on a guilty plea of animal torture. The Des Moines woman was charged with killing her then boyfriends dog, by hanging it from a leash in a garage. KCCI reports Cornwell will also have to get a psychological evaluation and treatment. Her attorney says she has serious mental health issues, but is not dangerous.
