The Des Moines Metro's hosting the Solheim Cup in 2017. It's the LPGA's biggest international team event. WHO-TV reports the Des Moines Golf and Country Club will host the competition between the top women golfers of Europe against the top women golfers in the U.S. It's expected to bring in over 250,000 spectators and be a big boost for the Des Moines metro economy.
