Iowa's Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction of 39-year old Nick Rhoades, who's HIV positive. Rhoades was sentenced to 5-years supervised release and registration on the sex offender registry after pleading guilty to criminal transmission of HIV in 2009. Rhoades had sex with a man he met online without disclosing his HIV status.
