Iowa St. posts 29 new positions for faculty

Iowa State has published 29 new faculty positions as part of the university president's plan to expand hiring.

KCCI-TV reports the hires stem from the Presidential High-Impact Hires Initiative.

Money for the new jobs comes from $1.5 million in new state appropriations and $500,000 from changes in the academic affairs division.

The university president wants to hire 200 new faculty members in three years.
