Pets Covered in Domestic Abuse Protection Orders

The State Senate's passed a bill that includes pets in domestic abuse protection orders.  KCCI reports lawmakers are hoping that with this addition, abuse victims would be more likely to leave a bad situation without worrying that a family pet would be abused as a result of their decision to leave.  The bill goes to the House.
