A car's trunk was almost completely wrapped around a utility pole after a crash this afternoon at Douglas Avenue and 57th Street. KCCI reports witnesses have told Des Moines PD the woman driving the car had been speeding backwards for almost three blocks before the crash. 45-year old Miriam Setaro may have had a medical problem that caused the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
