Urbandale, Clive, Windsor Heights and West Des Moines police are holding a gun and ammunition take back Wednesday, at Urbandale PD from 3 to 7p.m. Anyone bringing in a gun or ammo will have to show id. You should have the weapon unloaded and in your trunk. Ankeny, Des Moines, Johnston, Mitchellville and Pleasant Hill Police host the same event at their respective headquarters Friday from noon to 6p.m.
