Authorities say the proposed casino vote has Warren County voters turning out in record numbers. County Auditor Traci VanderLinden tells the Des Moines Register over 2,000 ballots have been cast, on the proposal for a $145-million casino, hotel, events center. As of today, over 3,188 of the county’s 33,058 registered voters had requested absentee ballots. The special election on the casino proposal is Tuesday.
