Bolkcom wants tax credits to help roads and bridges

The assistant majority leader in Iowa's senate has a thought on how to spend new tax credits.

Joe Bolkcom believes the $54 credits would really help fix the state's crumbling roads and bridges.

The Department of Revenue says many Iowans can receive the credit when they file this year's taxes.

Bolkcom, however, wants to "turn the Taxpayer Trust Fund into the taxpayer road fund."
