Iowa DOT's acting on recommendations in a report released today calling for tighter regulation of undercover license plates. The Des Moines Register says the report found most of the almost 3200 sets of plates are being properly used, but over 200 sets have been lost or misused, 167 sets are missing, and 18 sets were used for purposes not allowed by law.
